Like most of the great stand-up comedians, Robin Williams kept a certain wall between himself and his audience.
For the most part the Movie was filmed in Phuket, Thailand and then back to Saigon.
Phuket, pronounced pooket, is a blast topside, I’ve been their on several dive trips.
In concert, he would on a bewildering series of accents and characters;was a gifted chameleon who turns into whatever makes the audience laugh.
But who was inside? With George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, Eddie Murphy, we have an idea – or think we do.
A lot of their humor depends on confessional autobiography.
With Williams, the wall remains impenetrable.
Like Groucho Marx, he uses comedy as a strategy for personal concealment.
Jonathan Winters was Robin Winters comedic favorite.
Best out takes from it’s a Mad-Mad World
Like many genius’ Robin Williams committed suicide.
William’s suicide was even that more disturbing because he had, Lewy body dementia, according to his widow.
The disease caused Williams to experience hallucinations and other debilitating neurological symptoms, including depression, Susan Schneider Williams, widow of the late actor, told People magazine in a recent interview.
An autopsy released in 2014 confirmed that the actor had the disease, but this is the first time that his condition has been discussed in detail.
“It was not depression that killed Robin,” Schneider Williams said in the interview. “Depression was one of, let’s call it 50 symptoms, and it was a small one.”
