In 1957 I was fortunate to see and listen to Frank Zappa and the Mothers of invention.

They played in front of 100 white tuxedo-clad brass players.

I was with my girlfriend “Suzy Creme Cheese,” who immediately got with the program and took her top off and had them painted which the black lights picked up nicely. Oh Suzie we had so much fun living together for two years.  R.I.P

In the Summer of 67 I took a road trip, I ended up staying in the village at my fraternity house there.

The Lovin Spoonfull played at the Night Owl Cafe, just across the street, they were about to break out but not read.

I listened to them for the cost of cold beer, a dime.

Number one hit

Bonnie Rait was dating my cousin Rob who was also her record producer.

She would come by every Thanksgiving and bring records and autograph them.

She is a very sweet woman, not at all taken with her fortune and fame.
