The title of this story is a bit misleading.
Yes the president said it but in context, he was talking about issuing a Constitutional Executive Order to bring Pelosi’s Congress back in session.
From my standpoint I’d be for this.
When Congress isn’t in session it can’t produce more legislation
It’s rare today to see legislation passed that doesn’t take away our freedoms while at the same time raising our federal income taxes.

On Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to slam social media companies where many conservative voices report feeling ‘totally silenced’ threatening them with ‘strong regulations.’
“We will strongly regulate, or close them down before we can ever allow this to happen. We saw what they attempted to do, and failed, in 2016.
We can’t let a more sophisticated version of that happen again.”
