This should come as no surprise to anyone who has been lost in the jungle for the past forty years or held a prisoner in an Iranian prison.

I am fluent in farse as a result.

I know what is written below sounds like an advertisement from the pharmaceutical industry which I worked in for thirty-eight years.

There are too many reasons why she is wrong, and this is not the place to go into them again.

Ask yourselves, would you like the companies to quit spending their research dollars on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease?

I wouldn’t want that.

Remember the industry drills many dry wells before they get an FDA approved drug.

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) has named House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) Porker of the Month for pushing a partisan drug pricing bill that would implement innovation-killing price controls.

Speaker Pelosi claims that H.R. 3, the Lower Drug Costs Now Act, would “lower the cost of healthcare” by giving the government the power to “negotiate” drug prices.

The truth is that the Speaker’s drug deal imposes extortionate penalties and mandates on pharmaceutical companies that would devaste their ability to research and develop new life-saving drugs.

As seen in other countries, price controls thwart the introduction of new medicines to tackle serious diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.
