Who wants to be the loser?

How is it conceivable that this group of beings could be so out of touch with reality?

It was nice to see them take off the gloves, going after one another allowing their true personas to creep from beneath their tightly scripted one liners.

In a startling display of arrogance and ignorance, last nights cadre of also-rans featured a peek into the future of a country without a U.S. Constitution and run by beings who think of themselves as our minders.

Their distortions and lies were plentiful, making it seem as though Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters should have been among them.

MIAMI – Democratic divisions over race, age and ideology surged into public view on Thursday night as the party’s leading presidential contenders faced off in a debate over who is best positioned to take on President Donald Trump.

The Democratic Party’s early front-runner, 76-year-old former Vice President Joe Biden, was forced to defend his record on race in the face of tough questions from California Sen. Kamala Harris, the only African American on stage.Continue reading below

“I do not believe you are a racist,” Harris said, though she described Biden’s record of working with Republican segregationist senators on non-race issues as “hurtful.”

Clearly, on the defense, Biden called the Harris attack “a complete mischaracterization of my record.”

He declared, “I ran because of civil rights.”

A day after the first 10 Democrats debated, the second 10 faced each other and the country for the first time in a prime-time confrontation that gave millions of Americans their first peek inside the Democrats’ unruly 2020 season.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, admitted that his plans for universal health care and free college would require a tax increase on America’s middle class. But he insisted that fundamental change is needed to address growing inequality across America. His critics warned that such an approach would leave the party open to attacks from Republicans who call them socialists.

“We think it is time for change, real change,” Sanders declared.

Some candidates embraced Sanders’ call for a revolution that would transform the private health care system into a government-financed one and mandate a redistribution of wealth — even as Republicans attack them as socialists.

In the end we were left with the following:

A smaller group, led by Biden, favors a far more pragmatic approach to address the nation’s problems within the current framework — emphasizing bipartisanship and moderation.

Do they seriously believe Americans want to pay more in taxes and give up their own health care plan for medicare provided by the federal government?.

It’s clear that none of the anointed have ever had to use Medicare which at least 1/2 physicians no longer take.

The system reimburses them about 80 cents on the dollar for what they would receive from patients with private insurance.

Socialism doesn’t work, it has never worked and no matter the amount of lipstick placed upon it, it’s still a pig that won’t fly.

The former vice president, along with the other candidates on stage, raised his hand to say his health care plan would provide coverage for immigrants in the country illegally. Trump immediately tweeted about Democrats’ answers.

“All Democrats just raised their hands for giving millions of illegal aliens unlimited healthcare. How about taking care of American Citizens first!? That’s the end of that race,” he wrote.

Biden, like Sanders, also represents a different generation from several candidates on stage. The age difference was noted by California Rep. Eric Swalwell, who said, “Joe Biden was right when he said it was time to pass the torch to a new generation of Americans 32 years ago.”

Biden, 76, quickly retorted, “I’m still holding onto that torch.”

Sanders, 77, argued the issue “is not generational,” insisting the field should be focused on things like “who has the guts to take on Wall Street.”

Harris added her voice to the fray, saying, “Hey guys. You wanna know what America does not want to witness, a food fight. They want to know how they’re going to put food on the table.”

She was also the first to play the race card attacking Joe Biden on his support for busing children to school.

She said, “That little girl was me.”

In fact her campaign is selling “I was that little girl t-shirts to help raise money for her campaign. (Source)

The showdown featured four of the five strongest candidates, according to early polls. Those are Biden, Sanders, Pete Buttigieg of Indiana and Harris. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who debated Wednesday night, is the fifth.

Others on the stage Thursday night included Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Michael Bennet of Colorado, former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, New York businessman Andrew Yang and author and social activist Marianne Williamson.

The candidates denounced the Trump administration’s immigration policies, but in different ways than those who debated the previous night. On Wednesday, Democratic presidential hopefuls blamed Trump for a searing photograph of a father and his daughter lying dead near the Rio Grande.

On Thursday, Harris promised to use her first day in office to help people brought to the country illegally as children become citizens.

She declared she’d use “the microphone that the president of the United States holds in her hand” to be a voice for real reform on the issue.

Biden said he’d invest in Central America, while Sanders promised to repeal “every damn thing” Trump has done on immigration.

Both Bennet and Yang said that Russia poses a great threat, but they also criticized Trump’s international relations approach with China. Yang said Russia “is our greatest geopolitical threat because they’ve been hacking our democracy successfully.”

The showdown played out in Florida, a general election battleground that could well determine whether Trump wins a second term next year.

Biden sought to sidestep the ideological debate altogether, turning his venom on Trump.

“Donald Trump thinks Wall Street built America. Ordinary middle-class Americans built America,” said the former vice president. He added: “Donald Trump has put us in a horrible situation. We do have enormous income inequality.”

Thursday’s candidates also highlighted the diversity of the Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential hopefuls.

Buttigieg, a 37-year-old gay former military officer, is four decades younger than Sanders, and has been framing his candidacy as a call for generational change in his party. Harris is the only African American woman to qualify for the presidential debate stage. Any of the three women featured Thursday night would be the first ever elected president.

Yet Biden and Sanders have received far more attention and shown higher standing than their less-experienced rivals.

  1. Opinion says:

It is nso early nto think about a candidate. Perhaps the Democrats should think nabout some sort of platform as to what they stand for.

Illegal Immigration has the same problems as all of the Democrats give away programs – free healthcare, free collage, free whatever/ Who is going to pay for this free stuff? The government has a single source of revenue = TAXPAYERS.

Why is the idea to tax and give away these revenues never the focus?

How about cost controls. How about no foreign aid to countries who hate America? How about no benefits to illegal immigrants? How about responsible health care by the individuals in their daily habits – diet and exercise?

Why are the Democrats fighting to give away American Taxpayer’s money to non-citizens? Illegal immigrants have no business in America. Terrorists have no business in America. Deport all illegal immigrants and Muslims. Do something for America!

President trump has put America first and the stupid Democrats think that is a bad idea? WTF! Actual Americans should be the only people voting and that is another critical issue. Why do Democrats want illegal immigrants to vote? What other country allows such nonsense?

The reality of the Democratic give away programs is that they wqant to tax Americans to give Americans money to non-Americans! This horrible fact is the truth about Socialism, illegal immigration and terrorism. America was founded on freedom and opportunity. NOW, America gets to hear how the Democrats want to give that all away to non-Americans!

IMO = Americans will vote for Trump because he puts America and all Americans first!.

  2. Pamela Kelly says:

I was talking about this debate this morning with my sons and I think the 2020 race might come down to three-President Trump, Joe Biden, and Bernie Sanders in a repeat of 1992 when the contenders were incumbent President George H.W. Bush, Governor Bill Clinton (D-Arkansas) and independent business man, H. Ross Perot. Of course the stakes are different now, however, I am inclined to think that older Democrats whom favor Biden will end up voting again for Donald Trump if Biden leans any further to the left than he is right now. Even the powers-that-be behind the scenes knew back in 2008 when hardcore leftist/ Islamic apologist/ queer activist Barack Obama was elected president that selecting the more seasoned Biden as his running mate and VP was need in order to temper the more moderate or centrist members of the Democrat Party as well as a majority of voters. By the way, I am so sick and tired of Kamala Harris being allowed to play the race card.. Hey Kamala, you’re black, so stop your griping and deal with it! Glad to see Biden get right back in her face while keeping his visible Irish temper in check.
As for Bernie Sanders, we all know who will cast their votes for him, the young, the lazy, and the ignorant, who feel they are entitled to spend other peoples’ hard-earned money and that socialism will provide a more “just and equal” society especially for those who refuse to pull their own weight in this world. Hey Bernie, if you and Liz Warren want to give everyone free health care and dismiss all student debt then both of you should pay for it! May be both of you should get a real job and then while you’re at it, get a real life!
As for Sanders calling President Trump a “liar’ and a “racist” these are classic by-the-book commie tactics from a chapter that might be called, “Demonizing Your Enemy”. Unlike the socialist Sanders, President Trump is proud to be called an American, He truly believes in the exceptionalism of America and her people. He has great respect for the men and women in our military who keep us safe and free and for our veterans who deserve so much more than what they have received from the Democrats and RHINO’s in the Congress in recent years. He believes in following the US Constitution in the way it was written and he is defending the rights given to the American people by our founding fathers by appointing decent and God-fearing men and possibly a woman in the near future to the United States Supreme Court. He is definitely a man of the people and we need to support and help him continue to “Make America Great Again”.
    Trump/Pence 2020!
    Keep America Free!
Gotta love this tribute to “Big, Bad, Don”!
