Horrifying: Paris’s Notre Dame Cathedral Is Burning

The jump to conclusion that this atrocity may have been the result a construction project being the culprit seems quite odd.

Pamela Geller gets right to the point: There has been all over France recently.

The Geller Report:

This case could be a manifestation of Islam’s violent contempt for Christianity, the religion of the “most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6).

English translation: Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein.

Those are the worst of creatures.

A large number of people holding that contempt have recently been admitted into France. Merci, Macron!

I’m not willing to rule out the possibility/probability of jihadis in Paris setting fire to one of Paris’ most famed attractions.

Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the world’s most famous churches, erupted in flames Monday in Paris — and though its survival remains in question, authorities expressed hope.

The commander of the Paris firefighter brigade said Monday night that the cathedral’s main structure and two towers of the cathedral had been saved.

Flames leapt through the roof and dark smoke billowed into the sky on Monday afternoon.

Observers gasped as the spire fell. The roof collapsed shortly afterward.

“Pray,” Archbishop of Paris Michel Aupetit wrote. “If you wish, you can ring the bells of your churches to invite prayer.”

The Paris prosecutor’s office says it has opened an investigation into the fire but that initial indications suggest it was started accidentally.

The cathedral closed at 6:45 p.m. local time, and the fire broke five or six minutes later, France 24 reported.

Police in Paris asked people to avoid the area so emergency vehicles could pass. The area was evacuated and a shelter was set up for residents who live near the cathedral.

“People are not screaming; they’re just watching it burn and people are in a state of shock.

Outside in the periphery, it’s pandemonium in the city.

They’ve stopped the trains from going by here; they’re stopping traffic, police everywhere.

The smoke darkened the sky for miles.

I am firmly devoted to bringing you the truth and the stories that the mainstream media ignores. Together we can restore our constitutional republic to what the founding fathers envisioned and fight back against the progressive movement. Obama nearly destroyed our country economically, militarily coupled with his racism he set us further on the march to becoming a Socialist State. Now it's up to President Trump to restore America to prominence. Republicans who refuse to go along with most of his agenda RINOs must be forced to walk the plank, they are RINOs and little else.

Wasn’t there something in the news about a Muslim lady arrested or questioned regarding a plan to destroy the cathedral?
They had so much trouble bringing it under control that I can only believe that it was either 1- terrorism, or 2- someone put a bunch of rags soaked in tung oil in cardboard boxes placed, conincidentally, strategically all over the church such that they spontaneously combusted and caught the church.
The second option (or one like it) seems exceedingly unlikely. The renovators hired to work on the cathedral would be top notch, for sure. Certainly they would all know of the industry wide knowledge that you never put oily rags in a cardboard box, that you store them in a tight fitting metal container placed outside. Renovators would also observe other safety procedures

Why was the fire so hard to extinguish? When the investigation is completed, will we learn what the highest temperature of the fire was?

Until I know better, I am assuming it was terrorism.
