Whoopi Goldberg was born Caryn Elaine Johnson in the Chelsea section of Manhattan on November 13, 1955.
A fitting name indeed for a woman who turned out to be among the top if not the top of Hollywood’s gas bags.
Actors and actresses in Hollywood need to be clear about two things.
They don’t really work for a living, they play people who do.
Just because they have found fame and fortune on the big screen doesn’t mean their political views are relevant.
I do find her to be a compelling actress particularly in the movie “The Color Purple.”
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Alice Walker, The Color Purple spans the years 1909 to 1949, relating the life of Celie (Whoopi Goldberg), a Southern black woman virtually sold into a life of servitude to her brutal husband, sharecropper Albert (Danny Glover).
Goldberg has won two Academy Awards, for the “Color Purple” and “Ghost.”
Celie pours out her innermost thoughts in letter form to her sister Nettie (Akousa Busia), but Albert has been hiding the letters Nettie writes back, allowing Celie to assume that Nettie is dead.
Finally, Celie finds a champion in the don’t-take-no-guff Sofia (Oprah Winfrey), the wife of Glover’s son from a previous marriage.
Alas, Sofia is “humbled” when she is beaten into submission by angry whites.
Then of course was the little mentioned flick, “Life on Mars,” where she truly belongs.
In the past, liberals used to claim they believed in the First Amendment and free speech.
Not any longer, look at any major university in the U.S. for proof.
Whoppie is also a racist. (Source)
Their symbol used to be the peace sign, but, today, it has become the middle finger.
They do not want to debate conservatives, they want to prevent conservatives from speaking.
As proof, just visit any college campus today.
To treat a respected guest and fellow television host like this is totally unacceptable. Clearly, ABC should have immediately fired Goldberg for her abusive conduct.
Even Goldberg realized that she acted inappropriately.
She apologized to the audience in the next segment,
“You saw me do something I very rarely do.
I very rarely lose my cool and I’m not proud of it.
I don’t like it.
But I also don’t like being accused of being hysterical because that is one of the things I try not to be on this show.”
Unfortunately, ABC, like every other broadcast network and most cable news outlets, is not fair and balanced.
Instead, it is controlled by liberals who advance that ideology in all of their programming.
This is the network that fired Roseanne and cancelled Last Man Standing, another show espousing conservative values, even though it was one of the highest rated programs on the network.
If a conservative host had treated an Obama supporter the same way on the network, that person would have been fired. (Source)
With Whoopie Goldberg freshly arrived back after her absence for a once yearly shove through the local car wash to rinse out those nasty dreadlocks, it was no surprise to hear the Cackling Hens of ‘The View’ crank it back up and take on the newest clown to jump out of the trees and into the ring to battle for the democrat’s 2020 version of our nation’s savior.
Whoopie wasted no time telling Beto the Boy Wonder not to get too big for his britches and be Careful’ About Your ‘White Male Privilege’ there pretty boy.
While journalists may be on the “Beto Bus,” the ladies of The View certainly aren’t, (yet anyway.)
The hosts dragged the newly announced 2020 candidate for his “white male privilege,” Monday, after he made a series of gaffes over the weekend.
Goldberg began by pointing out O’Rourke had broken Bernie Sanders’ fundraising record before slamming him as a privileged white male.
“Something I heard him say was he realized he was a guy with white privilege and so he also felt he needed a female to run with him.
Well, my question is what makes you think she wants to be your vice president?
Why would you think she needed to you do that? You have to be careful with privilege like that because things slip out of your mouth, so you got to really sort of clamp down before you open it and have foot inserted.
I don’t use this all the time but it really is white male privilege to be like, ‘I was born to do this.’
If Hillary or Kamala or anyone had been on the cover of Vanity Fair saying ‘I was born to do this,’ the media would be going insane right now against it…..” (Source)
It is funny to see the left eating their own over identity politics. Misgivings about Beto’s racial and chromosomal makeup were front and center on CNN’s New Day when they discovered that Democratic presidential hopeful was actually a white male, and they were not happy about it.
The cable network went into race-baiting overdrive following the announcement of O’Rourke’s candidacy, airing hours of feverish hand wringing over whether Beto’s “white maleness” rendered him an unacceptable choice for the Democratic Party nominee.
Beto also received this push back from other CNN hosts, who slammed his “white male” status over 50 times in 24 hours, and from CBS This Morning host Gayle King, who asked the in your face question, “Are you disadvantaged by being a privileged white man?
Funny thing, no one has yet questioned his sanity. This is gonna be so much fun to watch…….
