However, to fully understand what is really going on in this centuries old conflict, you have to go back a couple of thousand years to examine the whole torrid story between the patriarch, Abraham, his wife, Sarah, and her Egyptian handmaid, Hagar. 

Out of the paganism of Ur of the Chaldees, in regards to having a son born to them, his barren wife, Sarah, convinced Abraham to take Hagar into their tent so that she might have a child by her.

Because she was a slave, Hagar had no rights in this situation and she was assaulted by Abraham against her will which resulted in her becoming pregnant.

The only way Hagar could stand up to her mistress in this situation was through her contempt, and she became prideful before Sarah, who promptly threw her out of the camp.

Out in the desert, the Angel of the Lord found Hagar and told her to go back and humbly submit to her mistress.

From the ancestry of both Hagar and Ishmael came twelve nations, most predominantly the Arabs. Although the Arab peoples come from the seed of Abraham, they also, in the spiritual sense, inherited the anger, hurt, and resentment and rejection of Hagar and her son.

Add Satan to the mix to fuel the flames with the profound evil that is Islam, and a clearer picture emerges of the conflict that has been going on for centuries between the Jews and the Arabs.

This ongoing struggle will continue, I believe, until the return of the Messiah, who will one day rule the nations from Jerusalem.

I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.
