The President shall be Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States.
He may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject on the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.
He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur.
And he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not here otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law.
The Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments. (Source)

President Trump’s outside lawyer said in a new interview that a president can’t obstruct justice.
The “president cannot obstruct justice because he is the chief law enforcement officer under [the Constitution’s Article II] and has every right to express his view of any case,” attorney John Dowd told Axios. (Source)
His comments come after Trump in a tweet over the weekend appeared to reveal he knew former national security adviser Michael Flynn had lied to the FBI when he was fired.
“I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies,” Trump tweeted on Saturday.”
It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful.
There was nothing to hide!”
The tweet spurred controversy, as legal experts suggested if Trump knew Flynn had lied to the FBI and then asked Comey to drop the investigation, it could amount to obstruction of justice.
Trump in February said he fired Flynn because he lied to the vice president, but he did not mention anything related to what the former national security adviser told the FBI.
Dowd said the tweet sent out from the president’s Twitter account over the weekend was his “mistake.”
He said he had drafted the tweet, according to Axios. But Dowd claimed the tweet did not “admit obstruction.”
“That is an ignorant and arrogant assertion,” he told Axios.
Flynn last week pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about his conversations during the presidential transition with Russia’s U.S. ambassador about sanctions related to the Kremlin’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump needs to fire this attorney immediately!
No matter the Attorney’s opinion he represents Trump and has very specific duties to his client. The attorney has violated his Cannon of Ethics and should be fired immediately. Also the attorney should face disciplinary action for the state bar. No attorney should ever speculate about his clients guilt or innocence publically. The attorney’s duty is to his client and only to his client.
Of course, what Trump knew and when he knew it is known only by Trump. The constant spin by the Media is very tiresome! I recall only the Vice President omissions at the time.
As to Flynn lying to the FBI, since we do not have the transcripts with the specific questions and responsive answers it is all speculation at this time.
Then there is the “Incentives” offered to Flynn. There certainly must be a plea bargain involved. Another document that requires some disclosure to understand.

The fix seemed to be in when the pious Feinstein announced that Trump “obstructed justice” when he fired Hillary Clinton savior and now Bible-quoting ex- FBI Director James Comey.
But the phony accusation ran straight to ground when constitutional law scholar Alan Dershowitz declared on Fox News this morning that Trump was within his constitutional rights.
Alan M. Dershowitz a liberal for sure speaks on how the president and his group have committed no crimes.
