We don’t need the 2nd Amendment: We need a real debate about guns

Courtesy of the always clueless Los Angeles Times.

Remember, “Rights are not gifts to us for the government,” each time Congress is in session more of our rights are stripped away.

This is also one of the prime reasons that the NRA has fought gun training.

Who would do the training and how impossible would they make it to pass? (Source)

Our Constitution is getting in the way of our conversation about guns.

We can change that.

Do these fools actually believe they can get criminals to obey gun laws?

Senator Reid held a photo opportunity with the incoming senate democratic freshmen class.

Perhaps they do and that’s just one more reason they are fools.

Sharing this here on the Blog because this I want to really educate people just how STUPID many people in the Media really are!

Imagine if we told this same MORON that we were eliminating his 1st Amendment Right?

He makes his living with it and obviously is OK with completely eliminating another Constitutional Right!

Typical Liberal that states our Constitution is the issue and is getting in the way!  Our Constitution and the Limits it places on Government is it’s VERY BRILLIANCE!!

THE END

About JCscuba

I am firmly devoted to bringing you the truth and the stories that the mainstream media ignores. Together we can restore our constitutional republic to what the founding fathers envisioned and fight back against the progressive movement. Obama nearly destroyed our country economically, militarily coupled with his racism he set us further on the march to becoming a Socialist State. Now it's up to President Trump to restore America to prominence. Republicans who refuse to go along with most of his agenda RINOs must be forced to walk the plank, they are RINOs and little else.

This new category = Bump Stocks is strange. I have never seen a stock advertised as a Bump Stock for a rifle.

This new definition appears to be just another attempt to regulate guns and take away self-defense from Americans citizens.

The Second Amendment was adopted for a reason – so the people could defend themselves from the bad guys including the bad government folks.

The definition creep in the legal community appears to me to be just another attempt for liberals to CONTROL the people.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Notice the word ARMS and not guns. The Progressives want to focus on guns so they can micro=-manage the issue and chip away at the Second Amendment one gun at a time. HOWEVER, the term ARMS should be read in its broadest possible context as to include all firearms – no separate distinction as to type of firearm. Pistols and rifles and any rate of discharge.

The idea that criminals violate laws needs to be viewed for what it is. New laws or old laws are not the issue since Criminals do not obey any laws – THAT IS WHY THEY ARE CRIMINALS.

The bigger issue is the ENFORCEMENT of the laws (regulations) so that there is some consistency of application of the laws.

America has more people in jail from out various laws (regulations) and the violations continue without concern. The estimate is the over 25% of all Americans have served time in jail.

Drunk driving is still a big problem.

Drug use is still a problem.

Guns are used to kill and that will not ever change. More deaths are caused using guns by suicide than murder.

America’s government needs to get back on track and stop with the new regulations and laws that are just plain stupid. There are actually people in prison for hitting their dogs while America still kills some 25 million dogs a year because no one will taken them.

    Stupid is as stupid does!

Everything in the news has to be political… except for what should be political. That is because of the inherent imbalance between the two political parties. It is the Democrats’ ability to deftly turn any tragedy into a political football (even if there is no pertinent public policy angle) and the Republicans’ inability to do so (when there actually is something government can do).

Though committed by a human being, the massacre in Las Vegas was/is as avoidable as a natural disaster. Sadly, in a free country of 325 million people, we will always be susceptible to random acts of insanity and terror, irrespective of our domestic criminal policies, gun policies, foreign policy, or immigration policy.

As Feinstein admitted, no law in the world would have prevented the shooting in Las Vegas. Yet, without even knowing a motive (and with the details getting more bizarre by the day), almost all other Democrats are trying to make this all about gun control. Unfortunately, Republicans and the NRA are following suit.

There is an emergency to deal with… well, whatever Democrats create a false sense of urgency to address. The new gun equivalent of “DACA fix” is barring the sale of bump stocks, which were evidently used by Stephen Paddock to boost the firing rate of his semi-automatic rifles.
A number of GOP House members and senators have promised to explore or have called for an outright ban of bump stocks. Most significant, the NRA issued a statement calling on the ATF to regulate bump stocks like other accessories that convert semi-auto rifles to fully automatic weapons.

I suspect most gun owners won’t care or miss them. Regardless, many are missing the broader point. The Las Vegas massacre has nothing to do with any gun policy, Democrats are politicizing it, and clearly the NRA and Republicans are allowing them to drive the narrative. Once we agree to the premise that regulating items already on the market will help stop random mass murders, we already lost the debate.

It’s clear that Republicans think that by surrendering on a random accessory nobody cares about that they will deflate the pressure for broader gun control. But their political barometer is broken. There is no great clamor for gun control from the public, gun sales are soaring, and the increase in mass shootings — are only motivating people to get more serious about self-defense.
We are winning this issue and have been for quite some time. Why is there a need for any retreat — a calculated one or otherwise?

More disappointing is the fact that the NRA has failed to push for any pro-gun legislation, even though Republicans have controlled all of government for nine months.

With a number of Democrats from pro-gun states standing for re-election, why have Republicans not aggressively promoted right-to-carry reciprocity legislation? Why did they not support Rep. Massie’s effort to allow right to carry in D.C. following the Steve Scalise shooting? Why have they not used the growing angst nationwide to go on offense and promote a government solution of more freedom while Democrats promote more tyranny?

Republican Rep. Hudson’s Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 (H.R. 38) is the best pro-gun bill in the Congress and it has several Democrat co-sponsors. The North Carolina congressman’s bill would require all states to recognize the gun permits of every other state, including those “constitutional carry” states that don’t require a permit. The bill would also allow the right to carry on all federal lands, even within states that have prohibitive laws.

Yet, it has not even gotten a committee markup. Where is the NRA? Shouldn’t we make sure all Americans could carry some basic pistol before obsessing about bump stocks?

The Left is a united, monolithic, collectivist block of unfeeling ghouls who parrot talking points one after another and never let a crisis go to waste. They’re a conga line of creeps rushing to dance on the graves of the Las Vegas dead. And predictably, less than one day after the attack,
Democrats were and still are marching out on social media to turn this tragedy into political capital.

The first tweet I saw :

The goal is confiscation, not mere gun “control.”

That’s what is behind the full-court press from progressives against the
Second Amendment after each and every time someone does something terrible with a gun.
Yet this is the one issue conservatives rarely surrender any ground on, despite all the raw emotion that cascades over us during such a time.

Why can’t it, then? Well, it’s not just one thing, but the leading reason might be that progressive
arguments during these times simply suck. Along with their willful ignorance of the simple, easily verifiable fact that murders with guns tend to be lower where the rate of legal gun ownership is highest, here are some of the intellectual travesties committed in the aftermath of the massacre.

“If we don’t want North Korea to have a nuclear bomb, we shouldn’t want people in America to have rifles.”

For starters, if you are comparing the average American citizen as a matter of principle to the
leader of one of the worst nations on the globe, then your principles might be irredeemably broken. That’s your standard? That keeping matches out of the hand of a pyromaniac means we shouldn’t use fire, either?

Second Amendment supporters don’t just want guns because it is a slightly louder version of a stamp collection. Rather, they understand they must have them so that aspiring dictators — foreign and domestic — don’t end up abusing the very same tool and turn us all into another version of North Korea. You have identified an actual enemy worth fighting and prescribed a kick-me sign as a remedy.

“If only buying a gun were as hard as Republicans want to make it to vote.”

Let’s check the math. I’d have to provide photo identification, among other background information, to buy a gun. I don’t have to do that to vote. Hmm. Did I forget to carry the one or something? Progressive math is hard.

Or is this just a typical progressive dog whistle to loyal minions who need to believe at their deepest emotional core that Howard Zinn’s America is the true gospel? That the little guy, instead of viewing it as an honor to be recognized by the Constitution as the rightful heir to determining the course of his own destiny through self-defense, is better served by perpetually spinning a tale of victimhood and woe.

“Why do women have to go through more in order to get an abortion than men do to buy a gun?”

One of those I saw making this claim on social media used the following as her exclamation point:

“No woman getting an abortion has killed a room full of people in seconds, right?”

Actually, that’s exactly what abortion is doing. Killing. In seconds. Every. Single. Day. That’s the point. In fact, if you do the math, the Las Vegas killer used 23 guns to kill as many people as abortion does every 15 minutes in this country. See, without variation or exception, abortion always kills. Legal gun owners, on the other hand, almost never kill.

And when legal gun owners do kill, it’s often to defend the innocent. Like the heroic usher in a
Tennessee church who recently used his Second Amendment to take down a would-be mass
murderer. On the other hand, when Planned Parenthood kills, it’s always to murder the innocent.

“Don’t give me your slippery slope arguments about taking all your guns away.”

Yeah, you’re probably right. I mean, it’s not like you also promised us your gay marriage wouldn’t affect us at all, or that if we liked our current doctor we could keep him. So what on earth am I worried about?

Nope, no slippery slope to see here. Carry on. You might call this arguments with idiots.

I was startled to see this admission by a former FiveThirtyEight newswriter Leah Libresco in a WaPo op-ed. She said that all of the heavy research shattered her notion that “gun control was the answer.” THE WASHINGTON POST IS CONSIDERED FAKE NEWS
