Number of refugees admitted to U.S. drops by almost half

A simple question for the lovely lady below.

How many refugee families have you invited to stay at your home?

None?

Why am I not shocked?

The number of refugees admitted to the United States was cut by nearly half in the first three months of the Trump administration compared with the final three months of the Obama presidency, reflecting the new president’s skepticism toward immigration.

Government statistics released Friday showed that more than 25,000 refugees were permitted to enter and live in the United States at the end of the Obama administration. In the initial months under President Trump, the number fell to 13,000.

How could this be anything other than a great thing as we attempt to bring the cost of social services down for illegal aliens?

Why do I call them illegal?

Because in the days of Obama there were no functioning governments in Syria, Somalia, and Yemen to adequately vett these savages.

The statistics were released by the Department of Homeland Security, based on information supplied by the State Department.

Countries of origin were largely unchanged. In both periods, two-thirds of the arrivals came from five countries: the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, Iraq, Somalia and Myanmar.

Refugees from two of those countries — Syria and Somalia — would have been banned under Trump’s executive order against entries from certain Muslim-majority nations, but federal courts have blocked the order. Trump’s original order covered Iraqis as well, but he omitted Iraq from his revised order.

The data suggest that the Obama administration, as it was about to turn over power to Trump, significantly stepped up the number of refugees admitted. Arrivals in its final three months reflected an 86% year-over-year increase compared to the same period the previous year.

In Trump’s first three months, arrivals were 12% lower than for the same period in the previous year.

Trump has sought to limit the number of refugees to 50,000 this year. But adverse rulings in the courts could work against him.

The United States already has one of the lowest quotas of refugee admissions among major receiving countries.

Nations closer to conflict zones such as Syria have taken in millions of refugees.

More people have been displaced from their home nations, because of violence and poverty, than at any time since World War II.

THE END

I am firmly devoted to bringing you the truth and the stories that the mainstream media ignores. Together we can restore our constitutional republic to what the founding fathers envisioned and fight back against the progressive movement. Obama nearly destroyed our country economically, militarily coupled with his racism he set us further on the march to becoming a Socialist State. Now it's up to President Trump to restore America to prominence. Republicans who refuse to go along with most of his agenda RINOs must be forced to walk the plank, they are RINOs and little else.

  1. Pamela says:

The three countries closest to the fighting in Syria willing to take in refugees have been Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey. The oil rich Arab nations of the gulf have not taken any refugees as of late, and this includes the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Israel recently allowed 200 orphaned Syrian children take refuge in their country, something which, I am sorry to say, the world media pointedly neglects to report on.
The Obama Administration was actively involved in instigating the Syrian War in attempts to dismantle the influence of the Iran-Syrian-Russian alliance that has so strongly dominated the political situation in the Middle East for years now. Because whatever he and Hillary Clinton were scheming to do royally backfired, so he was trying to make himself look like Mr. Humanitarian/Citizen-of-the-World Obama by thumbing his nose at the concerns of the American people and allowing refugees to come here, regardless of the fact that there may be cells of ISIS-trained terrorists within their ranks.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, is trying to prevent the atrocities committed in Europe from happening here. There is such an effort to destroy his presidency, however, that I believe his enemies are actually willing to allow the blood of innocent Americans to be spilled in the streets
just so they can get rid of him.
The Democrats, the news media, Hollywood, etc.
    They all make me sick.
