4 Questions Democrats Will Ask Attorney General Sessions.: Why They’re All Dumb

In less than an hour, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is expected to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Sessions requested yesterday that the hearing be open, a smart move, given the certainty that Democrats would leak whatever news he makes in the least favorable light as soon as a closed hearing ended.

A Rumor? Remember Comey is 6’8” and belongs in prison

With that said, there’s no question that grandstanding will be the order of the day from Democrats.

Here are the biggest questions they’ll be asking Sessions:

1. Did You Lie About Meeting With The Russians?

Sessions originally had to recuse himself from the Trump-Russia investigation after information emerged that he had met twice with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Sessions had testified that he never had any contacts with Russian government officials.

But Sessions can easily point to the fact that many legislators have met with Kislyak, the first “meeting” with Kislyak happened at an event with dozens of other ambassadors, and the second meeting was normal .

2. Why Would James Comey Suggest There Are Reasons For You To Recuse Yourself Beyond Your Meetings With Kislyak?

That question will be asked after former FBI director James Comey dropped the quasi-bombshell that he expected Sessions to recuse himself based on classified information.

Comey stated, “Our judgment, as I recall, was that he was very close to and inevitably going to recuse himself for a variety of reasons.

We also were aware of facts that I can’t discuss in an open setting that would make his continued engagement in a Russia-related investigation problematic.” What are those reasons?

Sessions will certainly be asked. Of course, he has an easy answer: “I have no idea.”

3. Will You Stand Up To Trump?

Given the rumors spread by Newsmax CEO and Trump friend Chris Ruddy that Trump is considering firing special counsel Robert Mueller, would Sessions threaten to resign? For that matter, would Sessions threaten to resign under any circumstance in which he found out that Trump was interfering

For that matter, would Sessions threaten to resign under any circumstance in which he found out that Trump was interfering into an active criminal or counterintelligence investigation?

Deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein has already said that he wouldn’t stand for Trump firing Mueller. Of course, Obama Attorney General Eric Holder called himself Obama’s “wingman,” but double standards have no meaning for Democrats.

4. Why Did Sessions Recommend Comey’s Firing After Recusing Himself?

This one will be on the tip of every Democrat’s tongue – they all want to make it look like Trump fired Comey as part of a cover-up, with Sessions as

This one will be on the tip of every Democrat’s tongue, they all want to make it look like Trump fired Comey as part of a cover-up, when Sessions had already recused himself on Trump-Russia matters, but recommended Comey’s firing anyway, and then Trump went on national television and said he fired Comey over the Russia investigation.

Sessions has a ready answer here, too: Trump asked for his advice, so he gave it.

Comey wasn’t doing his job, should have been fired, and that had nothing to do with stopping the investigation, which remains ongoing.

Anybody who truly believes that Sessions was part of some grand Trump-Russia conspiracy is out of their mind.

But that won’t stop Democrats from trying to paint the situation that way.

About JCscuba

I am firmly devoted to bringing you the truth and the stories that the mainstream media ignores. Together we can restore our constitutional republic to what the founding fathers envisioned and fight back against the progressive movement. Obama nearly destroyed our country economically, militarily coupled with his racism he set us further on the march to becoming a Socialist State. Now it's up to President Trump to restore America to prominence. Republicans who refuse to go along with most of his agenda RINOs must be forced to walk the plank, they are RINOs and little else.

One Response to 4 Questions Democrats Will Ask Attorney General Sessions.: Why They’re All Dumb

  1. Dave the Differentiator says:

I hope the Questions go to substantive issue and not the usual posturing of Congressional Members trying to make points by being non TV – Campaigning for the folks back home.

Asking Sessions questions about what Comey thinks is stupid. If these folks want to know what Comey thinks then ask Comey ! Just exactly why would anyone want to ask Sessions about what another person thinks?

As to firing Comey, Sessions gave a memo about this action and his reasons. bb Comey’s long-term relationship with Loretta Lynch and Hillary Clinton is good reason. Comey not prosecuting Hiillary for her criminal actions – Benghazi, e-mail server, disclosing secrets in memos, are all clear violations of the law – intent is not a requirement of the law. The violations of the statues is adequate cause for prosecution.

This “Stand Up to Trump” is stupid. Trump is his boss and standing up to your boss is not a job requirement. The Boss is always the Boss. The President is the Boss of the entire Executive Branch and he calls the shots.

Look back at Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch – did they ever stand up to Obama. Did they have conflicts of interest? Of course they did and all Americans know this as does Congress.

This entire procedure is really way out of line and political grandstanding
