House Obamacare repeal bill meets Senate rules for simple majority vote

Trust we have not heard the end of this issue, not by a long shot.

The obstreperous progressives will pull more rabbits out of the hat in their attempt the thwart the will of the people.

Word in the Senate is that Chuck Schumer has just gone in for emergency tear duct replacement surgery.

The American Health Care Act, which the House narrowly passed last month, meets the rules that allow the Senate to pass it with only 51 votes, according to the Senate parliamentarian.
The Senate Budget Committee said Tuesday that the legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare complies with the rules for reconciliation set by the Senate parliamentarian.Republicans have sought to use the pathway, which lets a bill be approved in the Senate by only 51 votes instead of the 60 needed to break a filibuster.

But there are strict guidelines for using reconciliation.

For instance, the bill has to reduce the deficit and only focus on spending and budgetary levels.

The House has yet to send the American Health Care Act text to the Senate, as it tried to determine first if the bill meets reconciliation rules.

The Senate is trying to largely craft its own legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare but hasn’t reached a consensus for doing so.

Circular firing squad time again with massive ego involvement and testosterone in the halls.

In Washington-speak, don’t look for anything to happen!

About JCscuba

I am firmly devoted to bringing you the truth and the stories that the mainstream media ignores. Together we can restore our constitutional republic to what the founding fathers envisioned and fight back against the progressive movement. Obama nearly destroyed our country economically, militarily coupled with his racism he set us further on the march to becoming a Socialist State. Now it's up to President Trump to restore America to prominence. Republicans who refuse to go along with most of his agenda RINOs must be forced to walk the plank, they are RINOs and little else.

One Response to House Obamacare repeal bill meets Senate rules for simple majority vote

  1. Pamela says:

If the federal government really wanted to help Americans with healthcare the first order of the day should be to clamp down on the outrageous premiums Americans are being forced to pay for basic healthcare, while
re-appropriate the money wasted through Pork Barrel spending to help those who cannot afford insurance. More importantly, the government of We the People needs to launch a long overdue investigation into the unethical collusion between Big Med and Big Pharm, and the Food Industry, which I believe are all complicit in the overwhelming health crisis plaguing our nation today.
As a Type II Diabetic, I take medication every day, and along with eating the right foods, drinking a lot of water, and daily exercise I keep my blood sugar under control most of the time. But the drugs I take will not cure the problem. What my medication does basically is lowers my blood sugar. It is not a cure for Type II Diabetes. Unlike Type I or Juvenile Diabetes, which is an actual disease, I am more and more convinced that my ailment, coupled with my inherited genetic make up, has been aggravated by the consumption of foods tainted by the addition of unnecessary preservatives or by “genetic engineering.” I believe the true cause of the Type II Diabetes epidemic in this nation is not only do Americans tend to eat too much and exercise too little, but, the foods eaten have caused massive inflammation in their bodies.
I am not talking about only junk or fast foods either.
In recent years, I have become a voracious reader of food labels. Anything that touts “High Fructose Corn Syrup” as one of main ingredients goes back on the shelf. High Fructose Corn Syrup is a preservative which is now put in foods to extend their shelf life. Furthermore, I believe that both the wheat, corn, and soy used in many food products, especially those high in carbohydrates, has undergone “genetic modification” or alteration in one form or another.
.Meanwhile, turn on the television during prime time viewing hours and almost every commercial is a promotion for a drug to help lower blood sugar in Type II Diabetes. If you listen, or read the fine print at the bottom of the screen concerning possible side effects, taking many of these new wonder pills could make you seriously ill or worse, kill you! My question is, why push these drugs with serious side effects in the first place?
While I do not believe the government should become the “Food Police” restricting or regulating what Americans can and cannot eat, they should investigate the use of unnecessary additives and especially the genetic altering being used by the American food industry today.
