Invoking the long-threatened “nuclear option” means that most of President Barack Obama’s judicial and executive branch nominees no longer need to clear a 60-vote threshold to reach the Senate floor and get an up-or-down vote.
Speaking at the White House, Obama praised the Senate action, led by Harry Reid, U.S. Senator (NV) accusing Republicans of attempting to block his nominees based on politics alone, not on the merits of the nominee.
Somewhere in the above statement, there is logic. I can’t find it, can you?
“This isn’t obstruction on substance, on qualifications.
It’s just to gum up the works,” he said.

With 20 Democrats up for elections in states that President Trump handily won, along with all members of the House of Representatives in the same states let’s just see how much testosterone and estrogen they have circulating through their useless bodies.
President Trump has said all along he would use the nuclear option, to date he has failed to do so likely wanting to play nice with the recalcitrant obstreperous ideologues on the left.
It’s time to do so Mr. President so you will be able to more rapidly initiate your agenda and rebuild America.

To prevent the nuclear option, it would require eight Democrats to join them to move Gorsuch’s nomination forward under current Senate rules.
Short of that, Republican Senate leaders may trigger the so-called nuclear option, changing the rules to allow a simple majority to proceed.
