Seriously, why couldn’t one of Obama’s goat handlers come up with this?
Had they and with several more, he might not have gone down as the biggest failure to sit behind the desk in the Oval Office while watching ESPN Hoops and skipping National Security Briefings, that ‘s right he has missed over 60% of them because he had other interests. (Source)
You might think that the life of a President is pretty hectic.
There’s a good chance you’ve heard that the constant, unending work a stress have a way of aging the commander in chief.
They’re making the tough calls, putting out fires, and generally working their fingers to the bone from the crack of dawn until nightfall.
There is absolutely no irony that the U.S. media failed to tell us that Obama failed to attend his National Security Meetings.
And don’t get me started on the briefings.
Obama received a daily briefing, during which he’s informed of all the global chaos that requires his attention.
George W. Bush almost never missed these meetings. Obama? Well… let’s just say Obama’s not a fan.
In fact, in 2012, National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor famously said that Obama feels his daily intelligence briefing is “not particularly interesting or useful.” (Source)
According to the Washington Free Beacon, Barack Obama has skipped 62% of his daily briefings this year, and about 58% of them overall. (Source) From a September 2014 report:
If the media had done its job on this and other acts of malfeasance, Obama would not likely been voted in for a second term.
CNS – On Tuesday, DHS Sec. John Kelly issued an immigration memo shifting the U.S. government’s efforts and resources away from defending illegal aliens to helping their victims.
The memo creates the “Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement” (VOICE) office, which will act as “liaison between ICE and the known victims of crimes committed by removable aliens.”
The memo also reallocates “any and all resources” currently used to advocate for illegal aliens and terminates “outreach and advocacy services” provided to them.
“Criminal aliens routinely victimize Americans and other legal residents.
Often, these victims are not provided adequate information about the offender, the offender’s immigration status, or any enforcement action taken by ICE against the offender.
Efforts by ICE to engage these victims have been hampered by prior Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policy extending certain Privacy Act protections to persons other than U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, leaving victims feeling marginalized and without a voice.
Accordingly, I am establishing the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office within the Office of the Director of ICE, which will create a programmatic liaison between ICE and the known victims of crimes committed by removable aliens.
The liaison will facilitate engagement with the victims and their families to ensure, to the extent permitted by law, that they are provided information about the offender, including the offender’s immigration status and custody status, and that their questions and concerns regarding immigration enforcement efforts are addressed.”
Taxpayer funding and government support of illegal aliens:
* In the past two years, the Obama Administration spent $9 million of taxpayer money to provide attorneys to illegal aliens.
* DHS had previously offered hotlines to help illegal aliens seeking executive amnesty and enable complaints against those seeking to enforce U.S. immigration law, and even opened an illegal alien advocate office.
* Even today, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) still advertises safe zones (“sensitive locations”) – such as school bus stops, health clinics and parades – where illegal aliens will be free from enforcement actions.
