Yates was fired just hours after she announced she would not be defending the order. Trump has appointed Dana Boente, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to the position, the White House said in a press release.
Boente, 62, is expected to remain in the position until Senator Jeff Sessions is confirmed as the new attorney general. His nomination hearing is scheduled for Tuesday. Democrats are expected to challenge Sessions’ nomination, but are unlikely to succeed, as he should have enough votes from Republicans to gain approval.
He is a career Justice Department employee who has worked under both Republican and Democratic presidents during his three decades as a prosecutor.
Acting Attorney General Yates, showed incredible arrogance when she ordered justice department attorneys not to act on President Trump’s order to ban people from middle Eastern countries from temporarily entering the United States until they could be fully vetted. (Source)

President Trump on Monday ousted the acting attorney general, a holdover from the Obama administration, and installed a pick of his own choice, capping off a dramatic day as he moved to shore up the defense of his extreme vetting executive order.
President Trump relieved Sally Q. Yates, the deputy attorney general who had stepped into the role as the government’s top lawyer at the change of administrations, after she issued a kamikaze attack on her new boss, refusing to defend his executive order in the courts.
In her place, Mr. Trump named Dana Boente, a federal prosecutor, as acting attorney general.“Ms. Yates is an Obama administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration,” the White House said.
“It is time to get serious about protecting our country.
Calling for tougher vetting for individuals traveling from seven dangerous places is not extreme. It is reasonable and necessary to protect our country.”
Ms. Yates seemed determined to go out in a blaze of glory, firing off a letter to her colleagues saying that even though the Justice Department’s office of legal counsel had approved the order, she thought it wasn’t lawful.

What the LIBERAL MSM is failing to tell folks is that trump’s Executive Order was legal and that the Obama appointees are violating their Oath to Protect and defend the U. S. Constitution.
There is going to be a period of CHANGE as the transition from liberals with loyalty to Obama are replaced by Constitutional Conservatives who obey the Law.
As Washington returns to the Rule of Law it will be interesting to see how many more of these Obama appointed fools get shown to the door.
There has been so many years of pure foolishment inside the Government that Trump will need to work diligently to transititon the government that recognizes the U. S. Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land.
