Trump Orders DC National Guard Chief To Leave In Middle Of Inaugural Ceremony: Did he?

crew-2231211In the day of fake news, where one title tells the reader that Trump was responsible for removal of the National Guard General, will other media screams that it was Obama’s call, what is the reader to believe?

The big question would be why would Donald Trump do such a thing if true.

If this is laid at the feet of Obama and chaos reigns the day then Obama will have accomplished another of his twisted objectives, mucking up the inauguration of  President Donald J. Trump.

Maj. Gen. Errol R. Schwartz

UPDATE:  This just in.

And a senior Defense Department official tells Fox News that the Trump presidential transition team, after learning about the situation, offered Schwartz, a Bush appointee, a few additional days on the job but that he refused.

A person close to the team reportedly said members indeed wanted to keep Schwartz but that the Army pushed for a replacement.

A senior Defense official also told Fox that the Army was neither consulted nor notified about the Schwartz decision.

“The Army leadership had nothing to do with the decision,” the official said.

Schwartz reportedly said the final orders came in an email from the Pentagon.

Like hundreds of other political appointees, Schwartz must tender his resignation and leave his post immediately after Trump, a Republican, officially takes office. (Source)

Stage set for disaster on Inauguration Day? Riots? Anarchists?

Editor’s Note: This article originally said that Obama ordered Schwartz to be removed.

However, the Wa.Po article makes it unclear exactly who sent the email ordering Schwartz to be removed from his post on Jan. 20 at 12:01 p.m. and it has been reported two different ways (1: ‘Trump ordered’, 2: ‘Obama ordered’).

Just to be clear, it looks as if Trump may have ordered Schwartz to be removed. (Source)

In a bizarre move, Donald Trump has demanded that the commanding officer of the Washington, D.C. National Guard resigns from his post in the middle of the Inauguration ceremony, even though the general will be in the middle of helping oversee the event’s security, the Washington Post reported on Friday.

Maj. Gen. Errol R. Schwartz will be removed from his post at 12:01 p.m. on Inauguration Day, just after Trump is sworn in but before the Inaugural parade begins, according to a memo obtained by the Washington Post.

Schwartz has helped plan the security for Inauguration weekend, and he will be charged with overseeing the D.C. National Guard, as well as an additional 5,000 troops, sent in for the weekend. But he will have to hand over commend to an interim officer in the middle of Inauguration Day.

But he will have to hand over command to an interim officer in the middle of Inauguration Day.

“The timing is extremely unusual,” Schwartz told the Washington Post on Friday.

“My troops will be on the street,” he added. “I’ll see them off but I won’t be able to welcome them back to the armory.”

Schwartz told the Post that he was not informed why he must step down abruptly on Inauguration Day.

“I’m a soldier,” he said. “I’m a presidential appointee, therefore the president has the power to remove me.”

Trump’s team has also ordered all politically appointed diplomats leave their posts by Inauguration Day, breaking with the tradition of allowing some ambassadors to stay on as their children finish out the school year.

I am firmly devoted to bringing you the truth and the stories that the mainstream media ignores. Together we can restore our constitutional republic to what the founding fathers envisioned and fight back against the progressive movement. Obama nearly destroyed our country economically, militarily coupled with his racism he set us further on the march to becoming a Socialist State. Now it's up to President Trump to restore America to prominence. Republicans who refuse to go along with most of his agenda RINOs must be forced to walk the plank, they are RINOs and little else.

  1. So…I have been reading various newspapers for the last hour…honestly, it came from the Pentagon, who controls the Pentagon right now? President Obama. There’s your answer. As for the diplomats, glad to see them go, they are all Obama’s appointees. I agree with Trump, quit paying them, their not my appointees. They had 90 days notice to find other work and a place to live and to get their kids in other schools. NO MORE ON OUR DIME OBAMA FOLKS. I think Obama is making a mess of things and will do so until the 20th at 12:01.

  2. btw, this has been corrabrated (sp?) on several fronts,

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/01/14/pentagon-says-nothing-unusual-about-dc-national-guard-leader-having-to-step-down-during-inauguration.html

He was offered extra days to stay on by the Trump team (after the Trump team found out), he refused. The order came from the Pentagon. Obama.

    Negatory!

The DC Guard commander comes under the direct command of the POTUS. Obama is the one who shit-canned its commander, who had prepared a comprehensive security plan for the Inauguration, including in bringing in additional NG troops from neighboring Maryland and Virginia.

What’s now happened to those plans, along with MG Schwartz’s G-3 Operations staff, is anybody’s guess. The rumor mills are working overtime with speculations on upcoming events this next week (Jan 15th to Jan 21st).

  4. well…Obama is in charge of the Pentagon, right? I mean, he is Commander in Chief…well…he’s suppose to be, acting more like a king, but I didn’t say that, wink. Thanks JAFC.

Something about this really stinks! The governor is the one who has authority over the National Guard unless nationalized by the President. Trump has absolutely no influence at this point in the game. Obama? Perhaps.

I certainly agree that this action is strange and may smell like the start of something very bad!

The good news is America’s Military is well trained and has a great sense of duty and Honor.

At this time separating fact from fiction is very difficult.

Given the History and Honor of the Secret Service and it’s great record, I think we must wait and see.
